Alissa Wyatt is a NYC based teacher and performer. After double majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Education from West Virginia University, she moved to New York City and received a Masters Degree in Musical Theater from New York University. While in graduate school, Alissa took an adjunct faculty position as a private voice teacher at the Steinhardt School at NYU. This fostered an already blossoming love for teaching, and upon completion of graduate school she's continued teaching independently throughout the tri-state area. In Fall 2009, Alissa accepted a position at the Rye Country Day School in Rye, NY teaching private voice lessons to their students.
Past and present students have:
  • Attended Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts
  • Pursued careers in Music or Musical Theatre in and beyond college
  • Attended French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts
  • Performed as a soloist in the 2009 Maccabi Games Opening Ceremony at Madison Square Garden
  • Won lead roles in productions at area High Schools and the Helen Hayes Youth Theater
  • Been accepted into All State Chorus

  • Alissa Wyatt grew up in a musical family in West Virginia where she spent a majority of her free time participating in local musical productions, studying piano, and attending dance class. After graduating with a Masters Degree from New York University in 2008, Alissa was ready to hit the stage. She has been seen in readings, workshops, productions and cabarets around the city, and her voice can be heard on demo recordings of new works that premiered at the NY Fringe Festival and the National Alliance for Musical Theatre.
